Heavy rain leads to flash flooding in ND, 1 death
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ Authorities have recovered the body of a man who drowned after the pickup he was driving in was swept off Highway 32 near Gwinner.
The pickup was retrieved from the swollen Dead Colt Creek about 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
Sargent County Sheriff Travis Paeper says the pickup was in water between 8 to 12 feet deep.
The man's identity has not been released.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation has reopened Highway 32 between Gwinner and Lisbon after the water receded. Highway 13 remains closed.
