Some rural Burleigh COunty residents are upset that speed limit signs have been taken down near a private landfill north of Bismarck. Commissioners agreed to allow the county engineer to come back with recommendations for trucks who haul to the landfill.
One resident, Cheryl Stockert said the haul trucks should be restricted to 149th, where a section of the county road there is paved. Instead some haulers wind there way up from the river bottoms on gravel roads, causing a safety concern:
Commissioners will listen to recommendations from the county engineer at a meeting next month.
